Oral and rapid oral communications
Oral presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint. For editing, you can use, if you wish, the downloadable template on this page (coming soon). If your paper has been selected, you will be contacted for the submission of the presentation through a form. Each presentation will have a duration of 8 minutes plus 2 minutes of discussion. In the case of rapid oral communications, the duration will be 3 minutes plus 2 minutes of discussion.
For oral communications of 8 minutes, a maximum number of slides of 8 (1 x minute of presentation) is recommended. For rapid oral communications of 3 minutes the maximum number of slides admitted is 3 (will be reviewed at the time of delivery).
Recommendations for preparing the presentation:
- Note a conflict of interest statement on the first slide.
- The presentation should follow the abstract structure for each type of paper.
- Observe the “6×6″ rule for text slides: 6 words per line and 6 lines per slide.
- Use the “4×7″ rule for table slides: maximum 4 columns and 7 rows per table.
- Limit the use of abbreviations in text and table slides.
- Use a font size between 18 – 22 points.
- Avoid the use of CAPITAL LETTERS and italics in text slides, which do not make them more legible.
- Avoid the “rainbow” effect: do not use more than 3 different colors for text slides.
- Avoid the saturation of special effects: the abuse of effects (movements in PowerPoint) tires the audience and diverts attention to the form rather than to the content.
- Do not exceed a factor of 1.5 to the number of slides in the presentation: 12 slides maximum for an 8-minute presentation.
Session: You should be in the room where you will give the presentation according to the final program at least 15 minutes before the start of the session. Confirm your presence to the person moderating the table.
After the session, the certificate of presentation of the oral communication will be sent by e-mail as long as it is presented. The certificates will be sent in pdf format so that they can be easily distributed among the other authors. Abstracts of papers whose presenter has registered before March 15, 2025 will be published in the conference proceedings book.
