Esta disciplina es definida por Gass, Gill y Russell (2012) como “El uso prescriptivo de experiencias de aventura proporcionadas por profesionales de la salud mental, realizadas a menudo en ambientes naturales, que involucran cinest\u00e9sicamente a los participantes a nivel cognitivo, afectivo y conductual”.
Se trata de una disciplina hol\u00edstica, integradora e innovadora, donde la actividad, la naturaleza y la implicaci\u00f3n integral de los participantes se dan la mano para mejorar la calidad de vida y la funcionalidad de los participantes.
Por tanto, hablamos de una herramienta de intervenci\u00f3n innovadora que dentro de la Terapia Ocupacional tiene aplicaci\u00f3n en diferentes \u00e1reas de trabajo dentro de la salud mental; que dentro de nuestro centro de trabajo (Hospital de d\u00eda de psiquiatr\u00eda de adultos del Hospital Santa Mar\u00eda GSS de LLeida) implementamos como tratamiento coadyuvante de las terapias habituales. Compartiendo con las diferentes opciones terap\u00e9uticas el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas con las que se interviene.
Objetivos:
Aproximar la “Terapia a trav\u00e9s de la Aventura” al colectivo de Terapeutas Ocupacionales que desarrollan su trabajo en el \u00e1mbito de la salud mental.
Promover reflexiones sobre la metodolog\u00eda de la “Terapia a trav\u00e9s de la Aventura” en la pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica del Terapeuta Ocupacional.
Metodolog\u00eda del taller:
Se trata de una din\u00e1mica de taller te\u00f3rico-vivencial, en la que los participantes se deben involucrar de forma activa en la din\u00e1mica experiencial, tras una breve introducci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica inicial.
Se procesar\u00e1 la experiencia que simula una intervenci\u00f3n en Terapia a trav\u00e9s de la Aventura y as\u00ed poder extraer aprendizajes en torno a las posibilidades terap\u00e9uticas de esta herramienta terap\u00e9utica.
